Open call for Lego WE DO workshop

We hereby open a call for education to all teachers who want to be educated on how to approach learning through play (for children aged 6 to 10), which will be held through the project SCIENTIX at the University of Mostar, building Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Education in Computer Classroom 109, March 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.

All participants in the Lego WeDo Education will receive a certificate of participation, as the University of Mostar is the national contact point for the SCIENTIX project, which includes 28 countries.

Adapting the education system to the digitalisation and technological development is inevitable if we want to have staff who are ready to go in line with the development of advanced technologies. Our children have been using them since they were little, and they are often more successful than adults. Let's make their skills an advantage and give them the opportunity to continue to develop their potential in that direction. To be able to do that, let’s embrace their problem-solving approach, let’s play with them. Let's make them use robotics through the game today, learning the basics of mechanics, mathematics, technology as well as basic programming skills. Let’s teach them teamwork, encourage them to communicate and discuss, think critically and creatively, and develop motor and creative skills.

That is why they need good guides, good educators who would introduce them to a new world of learning through play.
